Taurus Downtown Technopark will form the nucleus of Technopark, one of India’s biggest business parks which currently employs over 55,000 people and is in the process of expanding to over 100,000 by 2018.
The world-class, mixed-use development will address pent-up demand for Class A office space and lifestyle facilities. It’s located on the strategic National Highway 66 and is close to both Trivandrum’s international airport and rail hub. Downtown Technopark features over 1,800,000 Square Feet of world-class, Class A, office space in three towers and a 750,000 Square Feet regional-scale shopping center with multiple anchor tenants. The project also includes two hotels, the first of which will be operated by Hilton. The office component will include both SEZ and non-SEZ space and will also include a state-of-the-art business incubation facility which will be developed in association with leading global universities and corporate partners.
The project’s Master Plan is expected to be completed in October 2015 and ground breaking is planned for early 2016. Phase I of the project that will include about 1,100,000 Square Feet of office, the retail component, and a 150 key hotel is expected to be operational in mid-2018.
